When those games are bought years ago, it's unlikely one stil lhas the proof of purchase other than the original media and keys (can try to send it over as a picture, but it's not really proof is it). Just because you were lucky enough that your keys worked on Steam, doesn't mean most people are lucky too.Įven if you have older games which were originally say developed by Sunflower Games and published by say, EA and came with keys, they cannot be redeemed neither on EA nor on Ubisoft (which bought Sunflower Games). None of the keys work, neither on Steam nor on UPlay or Origin or GOG. the situation hasn't changed much.Ī lie? I have dozens (if not hundreds_ of old DVD and CD and sometimes even floppy media which were bought retail, in their original packaging and with their original keys. I understand this thread is over 6 years old, but nonetheless.
